Sweat, blood and the odd tear of laughter are shed at the annual Poetry Slam at the Palatin. It's about much more than just reciting poems ... The audience can expect anything from profound poetry to comedy and rap.
Any kind of text may be performed, as long as it has been written by the audience. Costumes or props are not allowed. Only repartee, wit and deliberate emphasis will breathe life into the written word. The literary showdown is also known for its energetic interaction with the audience. Immediately after the stylish performances, it is decided who can hold their own against the competition.
The special thing about the poetry slam is not only that it is for everyone and offers space for free development. At the Palatin, this modern poetry competition has been planned and implemented independently and with great success by the trainees for years.
