Poetry Slam No. 18

In the organizer's words:

The Ludwigsburg Poetry Slam has been a permanent fixture in the cultural life of the baroque city since 2009 and has now arrived at Scala.

Four times a year, host and presenter Johannes Elster invites big names and up-and-coming hopefuls from all over the German-speaking world to a literary showdown on the Scala stage. They present their best pieces in a preliminary round and a final: Prose or poetry, comedy or spoken word, satire or storytelling - everything is allowed as long as you stick to the three slam rules:

1. only self-written texts are allowed.
2. a time limit of six minutes for each presentation.
3. props, costumes or musical instruments are prohibited.

Only the voice and the body bring the texts to life and present the audience with the choice of which contribution they liked best. Applause will decide who moves on to the next round and ultimately wins.
