Poets Room - Open Mic

In the organizer's words:

Poets room is a coming together of queer bipoc creatives seeking out like minded voices in our community. We aim to create an open space where we can commune, exchange, and connect through the shared appreciation for the art of poetry, spoken word, and music.

The night will start with pre-registered performances by queer and bipoc artists, and will be rounded off by an open mic section, welcoming members of the audience to come up and share whatever they're moved to in the moment.

Although there is no specific theme, we set out to question, what has been held in for too long? What needs to be spoken? How do we aid each other in these processes? This is by no means a strict guideline; a letter to an estranged father, frustration expressed through rap, or a love note to someone beloved- all voices are welcome, all stories have a place here!

To attend, please register by sending an email to hello@networkofcreatives.com with your name and number of guests as spaces are limited (each member of a group must be registered/named).
