What do clothes worn in the Antarctic feel like? How do modern cameras work and what does wanderlust look like in art and photography?

In this open experience area, visitors can try on real polar suits and experience what clothing is needed in extreme polar regions. Children and adults can slip into them themselves and get a feel for what expeditions in icy temperatures feel like.

There is also a Sony area where visitors can try out the latest camera models. Visitors can test modern photographic technology and get to grips with photography.

The area is complemented by an exhibition on the subject of wanderlust, designed by students from the University of Oldenburg. In addition, selected pictures by the lecturers will be on display, providing insights into their travels and expeditions.
