Polylogue: Zukünfte des Erinnerns

The project "Futures of remembrance in the post-migration society" at Leuphana University Lüneburg is dedicated to the question of how cultures of remembrance can be shaped for the future in an increasingly diverse society characterized by migration. Current conflicts, continuities and competitions in remembering experiences of racism, anti-Semitism and other forms of violence in the post-migration society will be analyzed and reflected on from a cultural and social science perspective against the backdrop of current social transformations.

On November 12, 2025, the public kick-off event "Polylogue: Futures of Remembering" will take place at mosaique - House of Cultures from 19:00-21:00. The interactive event invites representatives from science and research as well as civil and urban society to exchange ideas about the culture(s) of remembrance in our post-migrant society. Together with the audience, interdisciplinary approaches will be developed for a future discourse on cultural memory challenges and opportunities for participation, including local and regional perspectives.
