The German band Kreator has long since scaled the (un)holy Olympus of the thrash metal scene. The film KREATOR - HATE & HOPE tells for the first time the forty-year history of the celebrated metal band, which began in 1982 in the Ruhr area and is now more successful than ever. Let's make some noise - that applies in their homeland and in the outside world. Then as now, they stand up against hatred and the abysses of our society. Shrill tones, virtuoso guitar riffs and energetic drum beats process the turmoil in our civilization with great willpower and creativity. Between Hannah Arendt quotes and headless corpses, a well-orchestrated chaos poetry full of symbols of horror emerges. A musical Molotov cocktail against evil with a cathartic effect. Which is why, contrary to all preconceptions, metalheads are probably the most peaceful people, as Mille Petrozza proves. The creative mind, singer and guitarist of Kreator shatters all clichés: he is well-read, yoga-affine, anti-alcoholic and absolutely vegan.
