In the organizer's words:

NETZLICH composes in the moment - between avant-garde jazz, improvisational practice and elements of classical composition. As an image, state and neologism, the name of the ensemble already refers to the multi-layered levels that listeners can traverse and fill with meaning at this trio's concert. Interwoven textures, subtle tonal shifts, words, syllables and noises are used as natural musical material with which the music is literally played out in an open process.
And so it is not surprising that the artists themselves describe their music with a play of meanings, syllables and words: "Dynamics are developed economically and gain the power to phrase their own ideas conjunctively in an incredibly ominous way. Speed is missing or generates the tempo in structures that lend sociality as well as exogenous mobility. The resulting static is very often lost - in the forest of the 20th century one would have written something about "storytelling meets drums", today an individual sound produces an auditi(e)ƒe networking of three opposing poles..."

With Laura Totenhagen (voice), Elisabeth Coudoux (cello) and Leif Berger (drumset), Projekt Freispiel is hosting three exceptional musicians who are among the most important representatives of their instrument in their generation, also internationally.

As an introduction to the topic of free music, there will be a workshop with Elena Roeder before the concert under the motto "Exit Games".
