Fantasias, In Nomine and Tänze à 6 by Orlando Gibbons and Alfonso Ferrabosco the Younger combined with interpretations of works by Hildegard von Bingen for voice and modular synthesizer

The Ukrainian electronic musician Oleh Shpudeiko, known as Heinali, finds the music of past centuries "almost cruelly authentic". Using modular synthesis, he transforms the hymns of Hildegard von Bingen into sound mirrors of his war experiences. The monophonic chants, whose 1,000-year-old structures unfold new creativity in the synthesizer, fascinate him. Adriana-Yaroslava Saienko sings the timeless melodies live to electronics. Her primal Ukrainian vocal art merges with Heinali's sounds to create an archaic, moving experience.

This is juxtaposed with a flowing alternation of English viol consort music from the court of Elizabeth I. The silvery euphony of the renowned Hathor Consort tells of the poetry of early baroque court culture - and goes straight to the heart.
