PROSANOVA 26

In the organizer's words:

This year's PROSANOVA (Festival for Young Literature) is taking place under the motto "Between tongues". The English word tongue can be translated both as tongue and as language and thus means not only linguistic but also physical expression. This relationship of meaning has also accompanied us in our reflections on literature and the formats at PROSANOVA26. It opens up the practice of translation to a greater openness, which moves away from the translation of one written language into another and extends to other forms of expression and art such as sound, moving image, dance and performance. At the same time, translation always involves the transgression of an in-between , in which language is transferred from one state to another. We ask ourselves questions about the in-between of languages, whether it can only be overcome or whether it can also be used artistically in its possible ambiguity and lack of understanding.

In addition, we understand "Zwischen Zungen" - and thus PROSANOVA26 - as an inviting space for being together, which attempts to stand against competitive behavior in the literary world and stands for hospitality, community and fun/well-being.
