The North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts cordially invites you to the event:
Quantum technology in and for NRW - where do we stand?
Public event, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 4 p.m. at the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts, Palmenstraße 16, 40217 Düsseldorf.
Please let us know at anmeldung@awk.nrw.de if you will be attending.
Quantum mechanics has fascinated mankind for 100 years. Initially formulated "only" as a theory for the microscopic physical world, it has become an integral part of everyday life. Pretty much all IT devices and the nuclear magnetic resonance tomograph are based on its principles. The United Nations has declared 2025 the Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ) to mark its 100th anniversary. We expect this technology to give society and the economy a further boost worldwide, for example through quantum-safe communication or quantum computing.
The North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Science and the Arts in cooperation with the Ein Quantum NRW network cordially invites you to an afternoon and evening dedicated to the new quantum technology. Listen to the insights of leading quantum technologists and experience a panel discussion on the topic "How can we participate in the new quantum technology?" Science, industry and start-ups from all over North Rhine-Westphalia will present themselves at an accompanying exhibition. Experience quantum technologies live.
