QuantWorld Challenge: Experience quantum computing live at the Deutsches Museum

Munich, December 09, 2025 - How will quantum computers change the IT security of the future - especially in banking? Answers to this question will be provided by the QuantWorld Challenge on December 16, 2025 at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. The interactive event invites all interested parties to experience quantum computing and its impact on our digital lives up close from 2 pm.

With an AR application on the Meta Quest 3, learning-oriented modules and a serious game , the event offers hands-on access to the fundamentals of quantum technology and its security-relevant applications. Visitors can try out for themselves how quantum computers challenge traditional security mechanisms and what opportunities and risks they present. Participation is included in the price of admission to the Deutsches Museum and takes place in the Deutsches Museum auditorium.

The QuantWorld Challenge is organized by Fraunhofer AISEC (Fraunhofer Institute for Applied and Integrated Security) as part of the QuantWorld project together with Quanten(t)räume im Deutschen Museum. QuantWorld is an initiative of the TUM Think Tank in cooperation with Fraunhofer AISEC and the TUM Klinikum Rechts der Isar. The aim is to make knowledge about quantum technologies broadly and comprehensibly accessible - supported by a digital learning platform and artistic interventions that make complex content intuitively tangible.

Participation in the QuantWorld Challenge offers a unique opportunity to get to know pioneering technologies in a playful way and to exchange ideas with experts.
