Queeres Literaturfestival München

In the organizer's words:

The Queer Literature Festival is entering its second round! Together we want to celebrate queer contemporary German-language literature. On November 1 and 2, 2025, a varied program of novel readings, a comic reading, a workshop discussion and a writing workshop awaits you in Hall X of the Gasteig/HP8 (Hans-Preißinger- Straße 8).

The aim of the event is to keep a discursive space open for queer literature and aesthetics, especially in a political climate in which queer lifestyles and desires are increasingly being used as a bogeyman. Against stereotypes, clichés and populist simplifications, the QLFM promotes literature as a place of ambiguity and reading as an exercise in tolerance of abiguity.

16.00 - 17.30: Opening reading followed by a reception: After a short welcome, Miku Sophie Kühmel will read from her great novel "Hannah" (S. Fischer 2025)

18.30 - 20.00: Reading: Evan Hugo Tepest reads "Sind Penisse Real?" (Piper 2025)

20.30-21.30: Comic reading: Lina Ehrentraut reads "Toys" (Edition Moderne 2025) with Whitney Bursch

10.30 - 12.30: Writing workshop: "Having a life that clearly belonged only to me". A writing workshop on queer longings with Evan Hugo Tepest at the Lesbian-Queer Center (LeZ)

14.00 - 15.30: Reading: Ozan Zakariya Keskinkılıç reads "Hundesohn" (Suhrkamp 2025)

16.00 - 17.30: Workshop discussion: Translating as queer practice - between languages and genders. A workshop discussion with Desz Debreceni ("Stone Butch Blues") and Lisa Jay Jeschke ("Lote")

18.00 - 19.30: Final reading: Kevin Chen reads "Geisterdämmerung" (Matthes&Seitz 2025)
