queering of age

In the organizer's words:

The relaxed performance queering of age invites you to experience autofictional texts, memories and reflections on growing up queer in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s in West Germany and southern Brazil. Between teen magazines, pop music and film quotes, narrative spaces emerge about desire, self-design and invisibility. feige glanz & fervor unite different physicalities, cultural backgrounds and languages. The collective works at the intersection of text, space and memory, with a focus on queer perspectives and intersectional accessibility. Pop culture and queerness shape their aesthetics; friendship and curiosity motivate their processes.

feige glanz & fervor works at the intersection of text, space and memory, with a focus on queer perspectives and intersectional accessibility. The collective was founded by theater makers Cosmo Glanc, Mareike Fiege and Marina Fervenza, who met in the Scenic Research Master's program at Ruhr University Bochum.

Language: German, English and Brazilian Portuguese (full understanding of the last two languages not required!)

All performances of queering of age are "relaxed". This means:

• You have free choice of seats (including on the beanbags and cushions and on the seats on stage)
• You can leave during the performance and come back when you want - or leave and not come back
• Noises during the show are no problem
• You are also welcome to bring your own stim toys
• An awareness team accompanies the performances.

The production is part of west off 2025 - a series of selected young artists who show their productions at the Theater im Ballsaal, the Studiobühneköln (TanzFaktur) and the FFT in Düsseldorf.
