In the month of the city economy, the "Hamburger Friedhöfe" (Hamburg cemeteries) cordially invite you to visit them:

Ohlsdorf Cemetery is the largest park cemetery in the world and is operated by Hamburger Friedhöfe -AöR. This multi-thematic tour takes a look back at the history of the cemetery and the city, examines the present - the changing burial culture, climate change and the challenges of coexisting ideas for using the cemetery - and outlines the future of Hamburg's largest green space as a park with burial grounds. Feel free to bring questions and ideas! Along the way, we will visit the imposing angels, graves of celebrities such as Jan Fedder and Inge Meysel, stop for a chat in the Rose Garden and the Garden of Women and enter the normally closed crypt cellar of the Riedemann Mausoleum. The tour ends at the Forum, not far from Ohlsdorf U/S station.

This event is part of the City Economy Month 2025. For four weeks, the month of action will focus on the work of Hamburg's public companies and show how they work for the common good of our city every day. Under the motto "We make Hamburg", Hamburg's public companies are opening their doors this November and inviting you to discover their diversity at over 60 events.
