Out of the blues is the name of the literary-musical program with self-penned and composed songs
and composed songs, stories and poems by Sigi Domke and Veronika Maruhn.

The texts have been written over many years and combine the themes of love, suffering, humor and poetry. Stylistically, the songs range between blues, chanson and bossa nova. The singing actress Veronika Maruhn and the musical author Sigi Domke present a beautiful selection of them. Veronika Maruhn brings her many years of stage experience to bear and lends the songs a special expressiveness in terms of both voice and performance. Together with Sigi Domke, they form a duo that combines literature and music in an entertaining way.

Sigi Domke is an author, musician and long-time companion of the cabaret and theater scene in the Ruhr area. He has been a co-author for Herbert Knebel since 1988 and has written numerous plays for the Theater Freudenhaus in Essen and, since 2004, for the Mondpalast in Herne.
Veronika Maruhn is an actress, reciter,
singer and author in the independent theater scene as well as at municipal theaters.
