rebonico

rebonico is a dance exercise in physical memory and at the same time a loving homage to the Ball Pla, a folk dance from the north of Valencia, Spain.
Based on conversations with people who practice this dance and an intimate approach to its movements, rituals and rhythms, the piece abstracts this living tradition and asks why it is still so deeply rooted in the community today. From the personal experience of having danced the Ball Pla in Sant Mateu, a choreographic research unfolds that illuminates the social, political and historical dimensions of dance.

In the etage° Bremen, entrance Herdentorsteinweg 37, the performance will take place in the 150 square meter Saal° with seating for 120 people. There is a bar in the foyer where drinks can be purchased.
