Reeperbahn Festival - Donna Savage

Donna Savage locates her unconventional rap design between gutter romance and high-rise glamor, with which she has recently caused an unseemly furor in the Viennese hip-hop milieu. The artist celebrates grit in rap, knows how to relate to the street and doesn't indulge in cheap posing. Of course, representation is part of it, but she is also interested in graffiti art, photography and skateboarding. She also studied printmaking in her Master's degree and is therefore well versed in various art forms. You can definitely hear this in her muscular beats and pointed lyrics in tracks such as "Schumacher" or "Rückhand", as the beats and samples are bursting with attention to detail, a sense of adventure and self-confidence. Since her first solo show at Berghain-Kantine in 2023, Donna Savage has also had a reputation for having a knack for crazy live shows, which we can only confirm.
