Fairy tales are bridges between generations and cultures, an ancient medium for passing on important messages. In most cases, however, it is also worth taking a critical look: Inspired by fairy tales from different cultures, FAIR(Y) TALES questions traditional role models and moral concepts. With strong images and contemporary messages, the modern fairy tale combines performance, dance, text and music and appeals to the mind, heart and senses. The focus is on generosity, sharing and giving - values that play a central role not only at Christmas time, but in festivals all over the world. In an intergenerational team of children and adults, deaf*, hearing and artists socialized in both cultures stand together on stage and develop a bilingual play in German spoken and sign language: for all those who believe that fairy tales not only reflect the past - but can also point the way to a fair, imaginative future.
