A young man stands alone on stage. No words, no stage set - only his body speaks. In Solo for Boy, a quiet, intense portrait unfoldsfrom this reduction. How do white, westernized male bodies move? What historical images of male beauty do we carry within us?

Sasha Amaya draws inspiration from pictorial traditions from art history and fashion from 1800 to the present day. Between grace and tension, control and liberation, the dancer explores his limits. From sensuality to tenderness to excess - the result is a multifaceted portrait full of contradictions. Solo for Boy is a poetic and at the same time political look at masculinity, identity and desire.
