In this concert, one piece from each of Johann Sebastian Bach's places of life will be performed. Bach by Bike was created with the idea of taking people on bicycles through the wonderful places of Bach's life that are within cycling distance and playing Bach's music where it was composed. Now Bach's places of life can also be experienced musically in Munich. The program leads through the ever-advancing development of his work, just as Bach himself probably walked most of his life (at least in his younger years) and incorporated these wanderings through the landscapes of Thuringia and Saxony into his music.
Bach's musical and geographical paths come to life again. Music and cultural history come together and illustrate how Bach's immortal music and exciting life can touch us today.
