As part of the event on 05.12.2025, we will honor the Düsseldorf author Regina Ray on the occasion of her milestone birthday and celebrate the publication of

WITH THE SPRING

I AM COMING BACK

as the 19th edition of the Ehrenwort publications.

"Ehrenwort" is a series of books published by Edition Virgines by Georg Aehling. The volumes in the series each contain a selection of works by authors from Düsseldorf. The Literaturbüro thus honors their life's work on a milestone birthday. Recent editions have been published in honor of Horst Eckert, Christina Müller-Gutowski and Achim Raven, among others. The publications were edited by Michael Serrer until 2024.

Regina Ray, born in southwest Germany, studied education and later Indology and Ethnology at the University of Heidelberg. After several stops in between, Düsseldorf became her base and place of residence at the end of the 1980s. She has published poetry, short stories and a novel, as well as cultural features for DeutschlandRadio, Deutschlandfunk, WDR, BR and SWR - mainly on Indian topics, especially Indian literature.

The event will be moderated by Emily Grunert, Head of Literaturbüro NRW.
