Repair Café

Repairing together instead of throwing away:

What do you do with a toaster that no longer works? Or an electric toothbrush with a weak battery? Throw it away? No, repair it!

WerkBox³ e.V. offers repair help (help for self-help) in the areas of electrical and electronic equipment at the Repair Café. Visitors to the Repair Café can bring along a small defective item (e.g. toaster, lamp, hairdryer) and experts from the WerkBox³ e.V. Repair Café will be on hand with help and advice, tools and materials.

Please note:

• Only one item can be repaired per person.
• The defective appliance must be able to be carried without assistance. Large appliances such as washing machines are not accepted.
• Please bring all cables, appliance parts and, if possible, instructions for use and circuit diagrams.
• Please also bring some time with you. Every repair takes some time. If there is a high demand, you must also expect a waiting time or a cancellation.
• You are welcome to donate the amount you think the repair is worth to support WerkBox³ e.V.

An incredible amount is thrown away in Germany, including items that are almost completely useless. The WerkBox³ e.V. Repair Café aims to provide an alternative. Repairs not only save money, but also precious raw materials and reduce CO² emissions. And above all, the WerkBox³ e.V. Repair Café wants to show that repairing things together is fun and often very easy.
