Karoline Herfurth, who has helped shape many successful German films as an actress since 2000, has quickly found her own signature style in her directing career since 2016: Entertainment cinema - mostly with her own script collaboration - with the aim of showing real problems and everyday challenges from a female perspective, with pointed dialog, multi-layered characters and perfectly timed situation comedy. Mel, a single mother, steals a diamond necklace. She takes Franziska hostage and flees from her pursuers. Mel is tough and unapproachable, Franziska tends towards chaos and panic attacks.
