Karoline Herfurth, who has helped shape many successful German films as an actress since 2000, has quickly found her own signature style in her directing career since 2016: Entertainment cinema - mostly with her own script collaboration - with the aim of showing real problems and everyday challenges from a female perspective, with pointed dialog, multi-layered characters and perfectly timed situation comedy. And always with the big audience in mind - Herfurth's films are not only among the most successful, but also among the best German productions of recent years.

A sequel - no: an independent continuation of the themes formulated by Karoline Herfurth in her hit movie WUNDERSCHÖN: Nadine wants to be young, firm and attractive even at 50, but her husband visits a prostitute. Daughter Lilly, guided by her teacher Vicky, creates a feminist school art project about the invisibility of women; her boyfriend sits in on a lesson about toxic masculinity. Vicky, on the other hand, misses her partner, who wants to find himself anew in the mountains, while her friend Sonja tries to avert a break-up through family therapy. Julie works as a recording manager for television and has to defend herself against assaults.
In this series of episodes, Herfurth addresses current, relevant issues of self-image and gender relations - without presenting simple solutions and without moralizing. In a relaxed and serious manner, she manages to deal with problems in a way that millions can identify with: "A movie that simply looks closely. Even where it hurts.
