Reutlinger Theater für Kinder - „Nussknacker und Mausekönig“

On Christmas Eve, Marie and her brother Fritz receive wonderful presents, including a nutcracker, which Marie immediately loves. Then their beloved godfather Drosselmeier comes to visit, who has built a sugar baker's house for the children in which little dolls move around. Fritz finds the house boring. Instead, he maltreats the poor nutcracker and makes him crack harder and harder nuts. In the end, he breaks three of his teeth out of sheer exuberance. Marie is very sad. But Uncle Drosselmeier comforts her and begins to tell her the story of the "real" Nutcracker, which takes place in the realm of the ugly Princess Pirlipat and the Mouse Queen. Marie soon falls asleep and wakes up in the doll's kingdom, where the almond milk lake flows into the lemonade stream and which looks very similar to the confectioner's house. There she experiences for herself how the beautiful nephew Hans is transformed into a nutcracker by the old Mouse Queen. See for yourself how Marie heals the enchanted Nutcracker with courage and heart and stands up to the Mouse Queen.
