Rick Fines is an award-winning Canadian roots and blues artist known for his soulful songwriting, expressive guitar playing and deeply moving live performances. With three Juno nominations, multiple Maple Blues awards and international songwriting accolades, he has built a reputation over more than four decades as a compelling storyteller and a warm, authentic musical voice. His extensive body of work includes acclaimed solo recordings, numerous collaborations and performances at major festivals and prestigious stages in Canada, the US and Europe.
A seasoned touring musician, Rick has presented his music at events ranging from the Montreal Jazz Festival and Ottawa Bluesfest to international tours in Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States, where he has performed with influential artists throughout his career. His dedication to the craft is equally evident in his many years as an educator: for over twenty years he has led songwriting, guitar and blues workshops across Canada - including remote northern communities - and taught at prestigious music programs and festivals.
With his blend of honesty, warmth and the timeless spirit of the blues, Rick continues to inspire audiences and students alike and is one of Canada's most respected roots musicians.
