For 9 years, GYMMICK took on Rio Reiser's task as singer and guitarist with the musicians of TON STEINE SCHERBEN. As this was received with great enthusiasm up and down the river, and as we all know the dream is not over, the Nuremberg song poet and his friends have decided to continue singing the songs of Rio and RPS Lanrue. With drums (Simon Froschauer), electric guitars (Flo Kenner, who himself played guitar with the TSS for two years) and bass (Tim Steinheimer), ERBEN sound almost like the
original SCHERBEN back in the day.
GYMMICK & die ERBEN send the audience on a musical journey through time, combining the rebellious hits of TON STEINE SCHERBEN and the deep ballads of Rio Reiser with GYMMICK's own songs that seamlessly follow on from the classics.
The music of Ton Steine Scherben connects generations, and GYMMICK & die ERBEN manage to inspire both long-time fans and young music lovers with their earthy music.
music. The songs really do sound fresh from the 70s live. Together we celebrate rebellion, freedom and love Gymmick & die ERBEN are more than just a cover band. They capture the spirit and the love of freedom
of the TON STEINE SCHERBEN songs and at the same time develop their very own musical identity.
GYMMICK and the ERBEN transfer the power and message of Rio Reiser's music to the present day. Their concerts are not a nostalgic look back, but a plea for a better and fairer world.
