Since his breakthrough with the hit Cuddly Toy - a radio classic that has been played on radio stations for over three decades and reached number four in the charts in 1988 - ROACHFORD has been one of the UK's most impressive and enduring rock and soul voices. He has released ten studio albums and several best-of collections, has been a songwriter for the likes of Michael Jackson, Joss Stone and Chaka Khan, and has toured regularly both solo and with contemporaries such as Terence Trent D'Arby and The Christians.

ROACHFORD has also been a regular member of Mike + the Mechanics for 15 years, performing and recording with them worldwide. In 2019, he was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for his services to music. When asked by the Princess Royal what he actually does, he replied simply: "I try to evoke emotions in people through music."
