RONG KONG KOMA
Playful and danceable, punky and hard at the same time.
The fluid instrumentation creates a consistently positive mood, while the raspy vocals of singer and multi-instrumentalist
multi-instrumentalist Sebastian Kiefer grounds RONG KONG KOMA and moves the band miles away from the mainstream.
The result is a first album that effortlessly plays with the
polarities of life.

A band whose concerts create space for the wild and the tender
and tenderness in equal measure. Songs that captivate with their simplicity at first listen, but develop unexpected complexity and dynamics on closer listening.
Each song sounds as if it has been taken from the midst of life, as if they were scars and each note a pain that has been experienced and only half overcome.

Sebastian Kiefer, a musical jack-of-all-trades on at least a dozen instruments, composer, lyricist, singer, recording studio operator and children's book author, called Rong Kong Koma onto the scene in October 2017.
He finds comrades-in-arms in old friends from the Kreuzberg and Neukölln punk scene.
In contrast to his previous bands "Diving for Sunken Treasure" or "Huck Blues", the lyrics are in German for the first time.

With Nils Bucher as bassist, there is both a brother in spirit and an accomplice to the new direction.
He is a documentary filmmaker from Stockholm, a songwriter himself and a multi-instrumentalist.
Also on board is Mike Heide, band and
experienced full-time drummer. He brings new sounds and hard, rough drumming to the songs.

Making music together is the core vision of the newly formed band. Intensive rehearsal phases, several line-up changes, norming, storming and finally: performing.
The new band was already playing in clubs all over Germany, even before
even before the final name had been found.
The first album "Lebe Dein Traum" was released in March 2020, produced by Sebastian Kiefer.

Linus Volkmann sees "a dark, highly aesthetic record", the OX says: "Wonderful sound that works everywhere".
The video for the song "Scheiß Berliner" is broadcast on 3Sat Kulturzeit and, as if by chance, triggers a debate about the extent to which local patriotism actually takes place in a left-wing scene and, if so, why.

The second album "Delfine der Weide" will be released in October 2022 on Rookie Records, also produced by Sebastian Kiefer.

After two years of concert doldrums, loneliness, social distancing rules and war, a multi-layered and profound album has been created. Full of suffering and madness. Love and hate. Loneliness and desire.

Shame and procrastination and depression and happiness.
A bit more of everything: harder, poppier, punkier, faster, slower, more melodic and more direct.
The next evolutionary stage of the band.

"Love songs for restless hearts and glam rock jewels for dreamers. "

The Alliance Rhône/Bouches du Rhône presents Lùlù (pronounced "Loulou"), a brand new "supergroup"
of members of well-known bands from the music scene
Lyon and Marseille (AVIONS, Irnini Mons, Egdar Suit, Pogy et les Kéfars).

Lùlù is influenced by the current power pop scene (Alvilda, Sheer Mag) as well as that of the 70s and allows herself excursions into Scandinavian punk rock (Masshysteri, Teini-Pää) or the hardcore scene (Chubby and the Gang, OFF!), while at the same time taking a look at the Italian pop of the 60s, the girl groups of Motown or the pop of the Brill Building (Lesley Gore, The Chiffons)
combining the science of the hit with timeless emotion.

Her first single - her first hit! - the eponymous track "Lùlù", already set the tone:
sweet melody, irresistible riff, hooks that cut right to the heart and a haunting chorus.

Recorded and mixed at the band's premises in Lyon by Simon Perrin and mastered by Will Killingsworth (Orchid) at Dead Air Studios, their first album Lùlù unveils, in an atmosphere of sleepless, hot nights and evenings with friends chasing the sun, ten tracks, sung in French and Italian, that evoke life: its joys, its heartaches and its sorrows.

Lùlù was released on June 6 on the labels Howlin' Banana Records (France), Taken By Surprise (Germany) and Dangerhouse Skylab (France).
