How was this park created and what was the landscape design intended to offer Altona's population?

Around 100 years later, we explore the 205-hectare park and its socio-historical and ecological development. We follow in the footsteps of Bernhard Schnackenburg, who as mayor of the city called for more urban greenery, and experience the natural design of Hamburg's largest park by master gardener Ferdinand Tutenberg and building director Gustav Oeslner as a political gesture of social democracy.
