The tour behind the scenes at Neufundland shows the results and stages of the work.
The Newfoundland second-hand department store has around 800 m² of second-hand furniture, household goods, bicycles, textiles, media and electrical appliances. On this tour, we explore the working methods in Newfoundland and meet the people behind the scenes. We consider why used electrical appliances are not bought as readily as other second-hand items. We focus on battery-powered products that are often not even perceived as electrical appliances. The topic of "avoiding electronic waste" seems to have been made for Newfoundland, as used electrical appliances have been sold there since 1993.
Note: there will be an upcycling workshop for adults on this afternoon, which can be booked separately. Information is available on the homepage.
