RYKENA/JÜNGST: Stripping Bolero

In the organizer's words:

Based on Maurice Ravel's musical composition Bolero, which is both a permanent crescendo and pure ecstasy, the two Hamburg artists Lisa Rykena and Carolin Jüngst embark on a playful and sensual search for choreographic forms of climax with their new production STRIPPING BOLERO.

The piece plays with climaxes, breaks them up, reassembles them and interweaves set pieces from well-known dramas, dance history or the staging of climaxes in striptease. Through dance, sign language, sign language poetry, audio description and erotic storytelling, a multi-sensory performance is created in which teasing and sensuality become the aesthetics of access and invitation: The theater space condenses, tension is held, dissolves, climaxes shift, bodies tumble to the ground or tell stories backwards.

The performance will be in German and DGS with German and English surtitles. From 6.30 pm on each performance day, there will be a tactile tour for blind and visually impaired audiences, for which you can register via the ticket link.
