RYZON Trailrun X Kaiserstühler Landeis

In the organizer's words:

The next RYZON trail run is waiting for us. In no other place than the Kaiserstuhl. Because here you can do both: watch fantastic sunsets and experience one of the most beautiful trail runs around Freiburg with great certainty. Join us for a sundowner run followed by a stop at the Kaiserstühler Landeiscafé in Oberrotweil.

An approximately 11-kilometre-long, flowing loop up to the Mondhalde and on to the Texas Pass awaits you. From here, the route takes you along small, shady single trails in the direction of Schelinger Höhe via Viehweide through Oberbergen and Vogtsburg back to Oberrotweil.

By the way: after all those meters of altitude, we have more than earned the ice cream at the Kaiserstühler Landeiscafé afterwards. So if you fancy one - or even two - ultra-delicious scoops of Kaiserstühler Landeis(must try: coconut-passion fruit or dark chocolate), you should definitely pack some change.

Good to know: We just let ourselves drift according to our feelings, but you should be able to manage a kilometer average of approx. 6:00 on the flat. The meeting point is directly at the Kaiserstühler Landeiscafé in Oberrotweil. Our tip: The most relaxed way to travel is by car, so join up for carpools.
