Saâdane Afif's first exhibition in Germany took place at the Museum Folkwang in 2004. At that time, nobody could have known that the young artist would develop a multi-layered, interdisciplinary oeuvre over the following two decades, the foundations of which had been laid with the texts for Melancholic Beat. These brought him to the use of performance and subsequently to the design of posters.
Saâdane Afif is showing 80 of these screen prints, produced in small editions, in one room of the collection - together with a restaging of his first exhibition. The posters will be shown in two parts, with a change of hanging in June 2026.
