Salin is a Thai-born drummer, Juno-nominated producer and composer who is currently taking the jazz world by storm. As one of the six artists selected for the prestigious CBC program Revelation Canada (2025), she is in the spotlight of a new, global jazz generation. With her face on the cover of Tidal's Best New Jazz and Spotify's Fresh Finds Jazz, it's clear that Salin has not only arrived - she's setting new standards.
With her visionary album Rammana, she breaks musical boundaries: Afro-jazz meets funk and traditional Thai sounds. She calls the result "Afro Thai Funk" - a fascinating sound that combines cultures, honors musical roots and at the same time boldly breaks new ground. Rammana is more than music - it is an experience. Salin weaves themes such as identity, spirituality and humanity into her pieces - always infused with a lightness and joy of playing that makes her music unique.
The album has attracted worldwide attention: appearances on CBC's Q with Tom Power, NPR's New Music Fridays, La Presse, BBC Radio London and Bandcamp's Album of the Day are just a few highlights. The track "Current" reached #3 in Spotify Fresh Finds Jazz - Best of 2024, while the single "Si Chomphu" landed in the Top 30 charts of Cat Radio (Thailand) and KCRW (Los Angeles).
