Dmitry Mayboroda plays works by Bach and arrangements

Dmitry Mayboroda studied in Moscow at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich with Adrian Oetiker. He later completed his training with the Heinrich Neuhaus student Boris Petrushansky at the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale "Incontri col Maestro" in Imola (Italy). He has won prizes at numerous competitions, including the International Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists in Moscow in 2010 (Grand Prix) and the International Piano Competition in Hamamatsu (Japan) in 2015 (semi-final). In 2017 he won 2nd prize and the audience prize at the Concurso Internacional de Piano Premio Jaén in Andalusia. In 2018, he received the Steinway Förderpreis Klassik and the Audience Award at the "Concert for Young Artists" competition organized by the Ingolstadt Cultural Association. He has taken part in international music festivals, including the Rheingau Music Festival, the International Piano Art Festival in Antalya, the Ravinia Festival in the USA and the Winter Festival in Brazil. As a soloist, he has performed with various symphony and chamber orchestras, including the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra Moscow, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, the Orchestre national de Belgique, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moroccan Royal Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. For the Bayerisches Staatsballett, he has performed in Anna Karenina, The Lady of the Camellias, Paradigma: With a Chance of Rain and Jewels. He has been a permanent ballet pianist here since the 2020/21 season.
