Peter Seewald talks to Tobias Haberl about his new book Die Entdeckung der Ewigkeit (The Discovery of Eternity ) and about the questions that have always moved us humans: How can faith provide orientation where there is uncertainty? What hope does the idea of eternity open up - and how does it affect our everyday lives?

Peter Seewald, born in 1954, lives as a publicist and writer in Munich. Many of his titles have reached the top of the bestseller list. His interview books with Joseph Ratzinger (with translations into 30 languages) became international longsellers. His most recent publications are Welt auf der Kippe and the biography Benedict XVI: A Life.

Tobias Haberl, born in 1975 in the Bavarian Forest, studied Latin, German and English in Würzburg and Great Britain. He worked as a freelance journalist in Berlin in 2001 and 2002, then attended the Henri Nannen School in Hamburg and has been an editor at the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" magazine since 2005. He was awarded the Theodor Wolff Prize in 2016. Most recently, he published the bestseller Unter Heiden. Why I still remain a Christian (2024).
