Matthias Sutter, Prof. Dr., born 1968, has been Director at the Max Planck Institute for Behavioral Economics in Bonn since 2017 and Professor of Experimental Economics at the Universities of Cologne and Innsbruck. He has also been a member of the German National Academy of Sciences ("Leopoldina") since 2024. His first two non-fiction books "Die Entdeckung der Geduld" and "Der menschliche Faktor oder worauf es im Berufsleben ankommt" were bestsellers in Austria. He wrote his latest book "Gemeinsam stark" (2026) with the current Governor of the Austrian National Bank and former Austrian Minister of Labor and Economy, Martin Kocher, with whom he has co-authored over 40 journal articles, primarily on the development and value of cooperation and trust.

Martin Georg Kocher, born September 13, 1973 in Salzburg, is an Austrian central banker, economist and former politician. From 2021 to 2025 he was Federal Minister of Labor of the Republic and from May 2022 to March 2025 also Minister of Economy. Martin Kocher is a professor of behavioral economics with applications in Austrian economic policy at the Institute of Economics and the Vienna Center for Experimental Economics at the University of Vienna and was Scientific Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) from 2016 to 2021. Since September 1, 2025, he has succeeded Robert Holzmann as Governor of the Austrian National Bank.
