Vintage sound meets free songwriting

The music of the Salty Saints is not based on trends or the platitudinous reproduction of the 'good old days'. The band's claim is independent songwriting without being too restricted by the boundaries of a specific genre.

Since forming in 2015, they have developed their own signature style, which is deeply rooted in the tradition of British blues rock, but also incorporates influences from US rock. Powerful, direct and at the same time in love with detail - somewhere between the earthy riffs of the Black Crowes, the drive of Led Zeppelin and the raw energy of the Rival Sons.

Powerful, tube-amplified guitars, abrasive, distinctive Hammond and piano sounds meet the raw, powerful voice of singer Manuel Preuß, who sometimes delivers bluesy melodies, sometimes edgy rock hooks. Supported by polyphonic backing vocals and a driving rhythm foundation, the band creates a mixture of handmade vintage warmth and contemporary directness.

After the EP "Walk on Water" released in 2021, the first full album "OFF THE HOOK" will be released on January 15, 2026. Recorded at the renowned Boogie Park Studios in Hamburg and produced, mixed and mastered by Toma Moon @Studio Mondbasis, the Salty Saints can be heard here in their strongest form to date. The eleven songs, some of which are very different, are all original compositions and represent a cross-section of the quintet's various creative phases. - Recorded mainly live, they remain true to the core of the band and reflect the many different musical influences of the musicians. An album that shows the band as they sound live - tight, rocking, emotional and dynamic - a well-rounded record with rough edges.
