There are times when the laughter just gets stuck in our throats, when the last joke has been told and all the cheerful melodies in the world have faded away. But fortunately these times have not yet arrived! And that's why the songwriter, who has been awarded the "German Cabaret Prize", has once again written a whole host of rousing new diatribes, sophisticated protest songs and unabashedly catchy tunes: About dogged traditionalists, for example, about stomach viruses on Christmas Eve, about the fatal dream of having your own pool and about the love of public service. Sarah Hakenberg happily hits the keys, strums her ukulele and tells stories about the abysses that lie dormant inside us and the great confusion out there. It doesn't make the world any better, but at least it makes it more bearable. Look forward to an evening full of intelligent malice, cheerful charm and irresistible audacity!
Sarah Hakenberg was born in Cologne and lived in Munich, Berlin and Strasbourg before moving to the provinces.
On television, Sarah Hakenberg has appeared on shows including "Nightwash" (WDR), "Ladies Night" (ZDF), the Swiss late-night show "Giacobbo/Müller" (SRF1), "Stratmanns" (WDR), "Schlachthof" (BR) and "Die Anstalt" (ZDF).
In 2014, she received the Munich Ernst Hoferichter Prize for her song lyrics and in 2016 the German Cabaret Prize (Young Talent Award). In 2023 she was awarded the Peter Hille Literature Prize.
