Einstein and religion (Jan Sikora)
His lecture shows how great minds are often stylized retrospectively as witnesses of faith. Werner Heisenberg, for example, is credited with a sentence about God "at the bottom of the cup of natural science", and Albert Einstein gives many people the impression that he believed in a personal God - simply because he often adorned his statements with the word "God" or "the old man".
About the speaker:
Jan Sikora left socialist Czechoslovakia without permission shortly after studying physics in Prague and has lived in Hamburg ever since. A skeptic by nature, he has long been active in GWUP and gbs.
