Schall im Schilf Festival 2026

In the organizer's words:

Schall im Schilf began more than ten years ago as a gathering of friends for friends. All that was needed was an awning, a DJ booth and a manageable sound system. Over time, many new faces joined. The place where everyone meets again every July for a weekend always remains the same: the lake in Garching near Munich.

Schall im Schilf is now a permanent fixture in the festival landscape and welcomes several thousand visitors every year to experience a passionately curated program of international artists from the electronic music scene. The stage design and lighting play just as important a role as the line-up, creating a unique atmosphere on three stages.

Schall im Schilf stands for a diversity of music and culture that finds harmony in its core: the joy of the thing.
