A train journey in post-war Germany couldn't be more turbulent: There's an SS man in hiding, a hyper American woman, a depressed alcoholic, a pair of lovers who lost contact during the war and many other passengers. What they all have in common is the war and its consequences.

The text, which was written by members of the Darmstadt Youth Choir, also draws attention to current problems in a mischievous and thoughtful way. The music for the 14-piece orchestra was written by Luis Richter, multiple winner of the "Jugend komponiert" competition.
