The hairdresser can no longer hear his neighbor's piano playing. That's understandable. - Is the hairdresser having trouble with him? Is he her boyfriend? In any case, he's obviously annoying. - The customer is under time pressure. That's important. - The inspector is being cut. That's not important in itself. But he has to solve the murder. Help! He needs help. He needs your help! Witnesses urgently needed! Because who killed the pianist Isabella Mantorini?

Yes, the audience is needed! No! Nobody has to play along! Inspector Wittekind just wants to know what you saw.

Together we will find a guilty party every evening. You, the audience, decide who! Because you have better and more eyes and ears than a single inspector.

And so someone different may be convicted every evening.

Paul Pörtner's "Scherenschnitt oder Der Mörder sind Sie" is an interactive play. There was nothing like it when it was written in 1963! It was performed at 85 different theaters in Germany. Under the title "Shear Madness", it is by far the most performed play in the history of theater in the USA and Canada (the Kennedy Center in Washington is currently running its 17,800th performance)
