Workshop series for creative texts and images in our small zine workshop

Zines are self-made magazines that are usually independent, non-commercial and sometimes not even professionally produced. They are the perfect way to publish your own work cheaply and with a low threshold. We want to celebrate this art form and create our own zines in the workshop series, work on our creative ideas, exchange ideas and network - ideal for creative beginners and professionals.

There is the possibility to publish the created zines in the 02/2026 issue of ARTLIT Potsdam (ARTLIT Potsdam is an art and literature magazine from the city of Potsdam and the surrounding area).

Participation is free, registration is not necessary. Just drop by! If you like, you can bring your work with you.

We take a look at what zines actually are and how we can use them to publish our texts, images and creative ideas. We collect creative and writing methods and realize our first zines.

We get creative with writing exercises. You can bring your own texts and discuss them. The focus is on prose, i.e. narratives, short stories, novel beginnings and non-fiction texts. The event will be accompanied by the Potsdam author Tobias Radloff.

We get creative again with writing exercises. This time the focus is on poetry - poems. You are welcome to bring and discuss your own texts.

18.06.2026 | 18.30-21 h | Designing the zine | Collecting ideas, trying things out, learning

The completed texts will be combined with pictures to create zines. We collect ideas, work on drafts and get inspired. We will discuss the basics of layout and learn about design methods.
