Schreibcafé fürs W-Seminar

In the organizer's words:

It's better to write together! On the day before school starts, Amerikahaus invites all students in a W-seminar to join us at the Writing Café in the Research Center.

Students can come to the Amerikahaus Writing Café at any time between 10 am and 5 pm to work on their seminar papers and make progress. Visitors are allowed to work independently and can ask our staff any questions they may have about writing and academic work. In addition, the "Pomodoro technique" will be explained and carried out in the afternoon so that you can still use the later hours effectively for research.

Drinks and snacks will be provided free of charge and, weather permitting, you can get a seat outside on the Amerikahaus roof terrace.

Schedule:

10:00 a.m. Start/admission, free writing time

13:30 Writing with the Pomodoro technique

15:30 Free writing time

16:45 Dismantling of snacks and drinks

17:00 End

What do I need to participate?

It is not necessary to make an appointment in advance, but the workstations are limited and exclusively intended for students in the W-Seminar or at an FOS with scientific work.

In addition to working materials (laptop/tablet, pencil case, etc.) and seminar specifications (citation methods, content, and everything else concerning the seminar paper), you are also welcome to bring your own snacks, the remaining materials will be provided by us.
