The Firebird is a Russian fairy tale full of magic and danger. Igor Stravinsky composed a colorful ballet score for it, in which mysterious, calm sounds are juxtaposed with powerful, rhythmic passages.

In this school concert, the story is narrated and musically accompanied by the orchestra. This time, the focus is on a princess who encounters the adventures of the story. Together with the narrator and the orchestra, the children immerse themselves in the story and experience how music makes feelings, characters and events audible.
