Persecuted, criticized, censored - and yet never forgotten: Heinrich Heine was one of the most uncomfortable, but also one of the most influential voices of the 19th century. His poetry outlasted all hostility - supported by countless musical settings, sung in concert halls and living rooms, and kept alive by enthusiastic reciters.

In the month of his birthday, Heine now returns to Schumann's Klangsalon as a virtual guest star. In well-known and rarely heard settings, combined with historical recordings of great actors, the result is an evening that brings Heine, his music and the art of his time to life in a new way.
