In the organizer's words:

In our society, neurodivergent perspectives are usually invisible - they are often only seen from the outside and deviations from the norm are described as deficits. But what happens when we see this different kind of perception as an enrichment?

The lecture performance "Schwimmen // 42" invites us to experience neurodivergent perspectives as a source of joy, amazement and artistic potential. Together, the audience and performers explore "autistic joy" - the pleasure that can arise from a special way of perceiving the world.

The project sees itself as a space for co-creation: neurotypical and neurodivergent artists work together on an equal footing, accompanied by an accessibility coach. Low-threshold access - such as artistic audio description - is part of the process right from the start.

This creates a "third space" - a meeting place between different perspectives and experiences, between the stage and the audience. A place for curiosity, respect and the joint creation of an inclusive future, without discrimination and stigmatization.
