As an interactive, immersive installation between extended reality (XR), dance and artificial intelligence, "LILITH.AEON" explores the future of humanity.
In "LILITH.AEON", the audience encounters the first transhuman dancer on her journey through several stages of incarnation. Thanks to the audience's interaction with a trained artificial intelligence, the story of a being that appears new and unique in an LED cube in every performance becomes tangible. Lilith raises the question of what a 'human' life beyond our bodies might feel like.
Through the experience of grief and personal loss, AΦE explored transhumanism (the use of technology to evolve beyond the limits of human existence) and the story of the youngest person to be cryopreserved. With the seamless use of Unreal Engine, motion capture, AI, machine learning and 3D animation, the installation "LILITH.AEON" was created in over seven years of research, conception and artistic work. It provides a glimpse into another world that is both artistically convincing and emotionally moving.
AΦE are the first dance company in the UK to tour internationally with VR and AR productions. Since their inception, they have performed in 20 countries and enjoy the support of some of the dance world's most prestigious institutions including Sadler's Wells, Chaillot Théâtre National de la Danse Paris and the Sydney Festival.
